Biography
Amanita Virosa
(European Destroying Angel)
(European Destroying Angel)
She's a Nature dragon who is fascinated with the process of death and rebirth. She loves to watch plants grow and spread, but also knows that death and decay are needed for balance.
She finds the history and relationship between the Gladekeeper (her own deity) and the Plaugebringer to be very interesting and beautiful. Of course she doesn't want the plague to spread faster (or more) than nature can grow, but she at least understands and accepts both parts of life.
That being said, apart from caring for plants she also works as a mortician, usually for those outside her own clan but she wouldn't refuse to take care of someone she knew personally. The flowers and plants used for the funerals are grown by herself, and she picks the ones that represent and symbolize the deceased and their accomplishment, based on what their loved ones have told her about their life and personality.
Her butterflies never leave her side. They pollinate her plants and create a feeling of serenity and rebirth during the funerals.
Symbolism:
Butterflies: When a caterpillar enters their cocoon, it's reminiscent of a coffin. When the butterfly erupts from it it's reminiscent of the soul being free, and beautiful and harmless if treated correctly.
The accent: A tree burning symbolizes death, but the ashes makes for a very nutrient start for new life. Naturally occurring forest fires are a great representation of how life and death are two sides of the same coin.
The Runes gene: In the lands where runes originate from, they were used partly for magic, but also partly for telling stories; especially on gravestones. The runes on Amanita enhances her ability to interpret the dead one's life and put it into runes (or other writing) on the gravestone, vase, etc.
Mushrooms: Fungi, neither plant nor animal. It's a great symbol for how lifeforms can be so different and vary so much, just like everyone's experiences in life differ. Also, Amanita's own name comes from a type of deadly mushroom that is rumored to have been used by vikings (in extremely small doses!) in order to go berserk in battle, which could be the turning point in a battle.
Amanita's final message to visitors: "I find both life and death beautiful, but death is a painful thing for those around you; never stop fighting for life! And sometimes, something that might seem like it'll kill you, can turn the tides and allow you to live for another day. Don't give up."

Her apparel and colors complement her lore so well, and even before reading her bio I knew what she was supposed to represent. However I don't think the Rune tert quite matches with everything else. The Wine color still looks excellent on her. I'm not sure I like the fire colors in her accent but understand why you included it; it reminds me of a forest fire, which is great for the rebirth of a forest when it occurs naturally. Anyway, overall, well done.

I'm not one for tundras (I only have one in my lair)
But Wow! Amanita is stunning. lets start with her colours, that antique with that wine runes is beyond cuteness! I each time I look at her outfit I see a bit more detail. I'm in love, if I could steal her (outfit and all) I would!

Amanita is really unique. The runes on her look so neat. I love the butterflies too. They go surprisingly well with that accent and her coloring. The ruff balances her nicely.
