Biography
|
NOT EVERY road agent meets a bad end, or a good one. Some of them meet an end that's somewhere in the middle. Endicott was such a road agent. She hadn't much of a gang, just a couple of fairweather friends to help out with the jobs by day and keep the shadows at bay by night. Their last job together went almost comically awry -- it's a story Endicott'll never tell, so suffice to say it ended with her running out of air at the bottom of a maw-pit in the Wasteland. She woke up somewhere after death at the edge of the Flat, with no particular memory of how she got there and a smattering of creosote flowers at her feet. As fate or forces unseen would have it, the place she woke up in was the old cemetery, long abandoned ever since the Flat's last undertaker had left town without a word. Being technically dead (at least so far as she could tell), Endicott didn't really need to ever leave the cemetery, so she wound up simply staying. She cleared away the brush and salvaged what grave markers she could, and cobbled together enough scraps to make the old chapel serviceable. It was around that point that the powers that be in the Flat took notice and more or less gave her the deed to the cemetery. Endicott named the place Queen's Rest -- the old name had never been written down and the original sign was lost to the ravages of time -- and has maintained it ever since. | xxxxxxxxxx |
IMPRESSIONS
Death hasn't reduced the bulk of heavy corded muscle on this one. She looks downright healthy, even, barring a few odd nicks and holes here and there, which she keeps covered up with a few well-placed bits of cloth and gear. She's got a stillness to her, a serenity so all-encompassing that it tends to put folks right at ease.
QUESTS
Perimeter Pick-Me-Up (primary): Something's been tearing through the fence at the southern end of Queen's Rest. Investigate the cause. Options: Tell Endicott about what you find and let her decide what to do for a reward (Rare recipe: Queen's Balm) or deal with the findings yourself for 35 grist points.

RELATIONSHIPS
SUNDAY skittered into the chapel one fine day looking for shelter from a surprise spate of tar-rain. It only took a day before Endicott realised Sunday was homeless and needed somewhere to put her feet up a while. She gave Sunday menial work to do, for appearance's sake mostly: sweep the floors, trim the hedges, that sort of thing. It was only later, after Endicott realised Sunday's singing voice and oratory skill were nothing to sniff at, that Endicott tasked her with the eulogies and final songs.LUPARA and Endicott have been on friendly terms a good while, owing somewhat to their shared hands-on approach to troublemakers. Like Lupara, Endicott's broken up her fair share of scuffles around town and sent more than a couple wandering good-for-nothings packing in a hurry. |
