Quill

The Queen

Quill is very reserved and regal in most situations but extremely fierce on the battlefield. She doesn't speak loudly often but her words are frightening nonetheless. The dragons she rules over think she is cold-hearted and cruel, but they respect her more than any other. A very intense dragon, Quill's dominant nature and strong will make her a fine leader and keeper of order. Her subjects and clanmates do not dislike her, but they don't particularly like her, either. When Quill is in a room, everyone, occasionally including her mate, Rook, is in disease. She drinks with Talonok warriors and gets a lot louder and more unruly when she does so, very out of character for her normally. The dragons have learned to not bring this up in her presence.

Quill is most content when sitting quietly and watching the clan, preferably alone or with Rook by her side, not speaking often, simply being. Quill's relationship with the curious Wildclaw is based on nonverbal communication. Because she is usually stoic in her expressions, a small smile or nod of acknowledgement from the strong leader means that much more to him. Likewise, a growl or dismissive sweep of the wing commands more respect than it would if it came from a more talkative or approachable leader, such as Riatuu. Though their relationship is strange, Quill loves Rook intensely and has said she would murder anyone who would try to harm him. Rook respects words from his Queen the most of any.

Enlil the Clouddancer
Enlil, named after the Sumerian god of the wind and storms, is one of the only familiars that Quill enjoys the company of. Most, she feels, are too loud, useless, talkative, clingy, or too involved. Enlil, however, is none of these things. His voice is deep and rarely heard, but he is wise. When he believes it would benefit the situation or if he is asked, he will chime in with his advice, which is usually correct and well-informed. Enlil believes in allowing others to make their own mistakes, as long as the mistakes aren't huge and detrimental.
Enlil often spends his time sitting in the highest part of the underground lair, watching the dragons carefully with his incredible vision. He rarely polices them because of his free-will philosophy, however. Instead he watches, listens, and remembers all that happens, should it be of use later on.
