In small doses, it irritates scales and leaves them painfully itchy. In higher doses, it proves lethal. Unlike them, however, she could not control it. Venina thus has lived a lonely existence, afraid of ever becoming close to other dragons. After all, even a touch would leave swollen blisters behind. How could she live among dragonkind if she could never touch another, not even for a moment? None understood her secrecy, her shame. She took up a hermit's life, practicing her spellcraft while hiding away from the world. She traveled to the Worldedge Wetlands hoping that finally she had a place so remote, so deep that no one would ever find her there. But fate had other ideas. |
