"Ignatius wasn't always a wish granting genie. Originally he was a prince,
albeit not a very popular one. He was rather lazy and unconcerned with the needs of his subjects. This resulted in the vain prince becoming enchanted into the position of genie, so that now he has no choice but to give to whomever owns his lamp. Currently, that would be Cyrkus,
who uses Ignatius's cosmic powers to conjure for her several things for her cons and schemes.
Cyrkus wouldn't know what to do with true power if it bit her in the tail, which is probably fortunate because Ignatius cannot stand being in servitude to power hungry individuals. It seems just sooooo exhausting. Of course, this doesn't mean Ignatius has become complacent with his new master, he gives her the same types of cutting remarks as any other, but secretly he's glad it is her. Now that he is a part of the Nova clan Ignatius spends his time begging Dreamer or Martyr to use their powers and return him to his rightful, royal (painful) self. When that is failing, he spends his time with Obscura, finding her to be the only friend he can truly relate to within the clan."
