Equinox

Stolen from his nest as an egg by a thief who hoped to ransom it back to the clan for a handsome fee. The egg ended up being left behind in an abandoned temple when a deadly snow storm swept the mountain side into an icy hell.

Against all odds, the egg made it to maturity and hatched into a young imperial with eyes as white as the storm he was born in.

Many rumors circulate as to how he survived in the unforgiving cold as a mere hatchling. Most believe it was the spirits in the temple that kept the egg from freezing over. And once it finally hatched, they looked over him and provided for him until he could hunt on his own. But when directly asked all he will say is "The storm provides to those who seek its shelter."

He found his way to other dragons as a juvenile by sheer luck. Equinox had gone on an adventure outside of his usual territory to see what he could find. He was completely terrified of others when he first made contact with his kind. It took lots of coaxing and gentle words to get the imperial to even get near the walls of civilization. He had grown up used to small empty temples and deep woods. Eventually he felt brave enough to investigate these new sights.

Equinox can speak to those beyond the veil. Many come to him to be able to reconnect with lost loved ones. But since he spent his younger years on his own, with only the spirits talking to him, he talks in cryptic remarks and flowing poetic sentences. Sometimes he's completely silent; eyes far away in another world and no one can break him out of it. He rarely speaks but when he does, it's best to lean in close and listen.
