Yaw's treasured grandson, and transcriber. Listening to his grandmother's speeches endlessly seems to have gotten to him, and he makes a noteworthy (if not a bit intense) writer himself-- no doubt owing from his father's legendary talent. Prone to fits of riotous inspiration. A sucker for war stories. His active, dramatic nature makes him overbearing at times.

Nanta is young and wants badly to go to war, and uses writing as his outlet. He writes most often of combat, penning both dramatic visions of battlefields and military treatises, but most of his gentler pieces seem to be inspired by his birthplace in the Sunbeam Ruins. A few reoccurring characters in his works bear close resemblance to original clanmates (particularly a musically-inclined warlord analogous to his mother, and a prodigious stickler of a demigod who seems cheekily pointed at a sister of his). Homesickness is a common affliction for Nanta, and he is prone to hounding his sister Valiance when such moods strike him.

Pompona is his wife. The two partnered young, on impulse, but their bond is strong. They make for a notoriously energetic couple.
