Burnish is nothing less than a troublemaker. He has no remorse for the mischief he causes, which usually comes at the expense of others. He's the kind of guy who pressures other hatchlings into doing things they shouldn't-- such as playing near the Wyrmwound, or pulling pranks on the local witch-- just to see what would happen. His only friend is another Pearlcatcher named Sleek, who often joins in on the fun. Unlike Burnish, Sleek seems to have some inkling of a conscience in him, but it just isn't enough to keep the two of them out of trouble.
