Biography

Xaviera.png
Name: Xaviera Marshmin.

Occupation: None.

Past: Xaviera, was born and bred to kill. Her father ran an arena where dragons were forced to fight. Most fathers would want to keep their children out of harms way but Xaviera's only wanted a champion. Her father didn't treat her as bad as you may think but he was far from the father she needed. Luckily there was another child hatched on the same day as her, Treyton. Her father thought it would be a good idea to have a sparing partner closer to her age and size and so he practically adopted him. The two were raised as siblings. As they grew older they also grew stronger and their father decided it was time for their first fights. Treyton, had no problem with his fight and even found it to be fun ripping through the flesh of the beast. Xaviera, on the other hand had a realization. Training and the real thing were nothing alike. She couldn't stand it. The blood, the screeches of pain, the horrid smell, it was all too much. The second she returned to her quarters she broke down in tears. This continued after every fight she had. With time her face became stained under her eyes where her tears streamed down her face, like they had been drained of all color. It never got better. Until she found a scroll abandoned on the floor. She opened it to reveal what seemed to be strange image directions depicting magic motions and words that were illegible except a few "bidding - fight - for you" it wasn't much but it was enough to pique her interest. The next few days she tried to figure out what secrets the scroll hid. Not much ever happened, a few strange lights came from the ground now and again but she could never complete the scrolls directions because of the damage that made it hard to see exactly what was drawn. Days past and she had all but forgotten the scroll. Until her first fight against another dragon. She was losing badly no one was going to stop the fight and there was no way the other dragon was going to show her mercy. She knew this. It was do or die she had to try even if she didn't know quite what she was summoning or if it would work. She did what she could and as fate would have it, it worked. The scrolls power was revealed to be that of resurrection. Summoning the dead to serve the casters every whim. And in this case that whim was to kill. It didn't take long for the fight to be over. A silence filled the air the crowd speechless and in awe, then suddenly thunderous applause. She returned to her quarters but this time no tears streamed down her face. After all it was never the death that bothered her. With her new ability to summon the dead she became practically unstoppable. However her father had seen what happens when a fighter is so much stronger then the rest. It doesn't make for a very interesting fight. But he did have the champion he always wanted naturally he couldn't just throw that away. He taught her how to keep the crowds attention, toying with her opponent, deliberately letting time go so as not to end a fight too quickly, and of course, making herself look less powerful then she truly was. They needed to think that she was still vulnerable, they needed to know that she still bleeds. Time went on and she climbed her way through the ranks until it was declared that the new champion was, Xaviera.

Arrival: Although most are restricted to only ever fighting in the arena there are moments where outside dragons will pay to "rent" one of the fighters out, normally to assassinate someone. The fighter in question has a set time limit to return by. If they don't return by that time they would be hunted down and brought back only to fight the reigning champion. Losing means death and winning means redemption. No dragon has ever escaped this fate. However there is one dragon that has avoided it thus far, Damilia Shore. Once held captive now lives freely. Her late return led to a mass hunt. Twenty dragons were sent to find her and they did, but they were interrupted by a large clan. Out numbered they retreated and returned empty clawed. Being protected by such a large clan there wasn't much they could do. But they didn't just give up. They lied in wait watching from the shadows. Eventually she did leave. Still they stuck to more populated areas making it near impossible to take her without being noticed. Wanting to make as little of a scene as possible instead of hiring more mercenaries, Treyton, was assigned to bring her back. Although he seemed like a safe choice, in the end he had decided to not only disobey but stay with them as well. Months passed and as luck would have it one day both, Damilia, and, Treyton, ended up back at the arena. However they weren't there for long. The day after they were captured they not only escaped but took the arenas captives with them. All before having to fight, Xaviera. With the captives free they were able to go where ever they may, Xaviera, included. Being raised like siblings she decided to stay with, Treyton. But within the border of the eleven regions she was no longer allowed to summon the dead to do her bidding. Although happy to not have to deal with the blood and screams anymore something dark inside of her still dwells constantly wanting to come out.
