A quiet man that has either forgotten or refuses to acknowledge his past, Altais seems to have come from nowhere. He simply arrived one day in Inoue, back when it was stationed in Arcane, and took up the role of resident doctor. When Inoue was under attack by Beastclan and Shade alike, Altais proved he was no reclusive doctor, but a skilled battlemage. He slaughtered hundreds, and though his clothes were soaked in his own blood, not a single wound was found on him.

Despite having strong swordsmanship and powerful elemental magic, Altais's most well-known ability is the power to transfer wounds. With a mere touch, he can pass any of his wounds to another person, absorbing their health. Inflicting wounds on himself and then transferring them to others only would work if he could touch them for a brief moment. In war, this was useful, but he had to be able to time it right. A moment too long, a missing touch, and he would die of his own inflicted wounds.

Nowadays, however, Altais only uses this ability to take wounds from others, instead holding the injuries himself in order to heal others. He later transfers the wounds out, but for the time being, he doesn't mind holding them if others may heal quickly.

In personality, Altais is a very tired, very cold-shouldered man. He seems to like to keep to himself, really only speaking when he has a patient or feels he has something that needs to be said. If engaged, he will speak, but he lacks most warmth that others hold in conversation. Though patient, he is has a horrifying temper when angered, and a power deep within him rises and tries to break free, but Altais had learned through years to keep it at bay, though it is a struggle most days.

When excited, however, he smiles and seems more alive than usual, talking excessively and gesturing dramatically with his hands. If one points it out, he gets rather embarrassed and finds the fastest way out of the conversation possible.

His dragon form is strange. Like spirals, he has six wings, but his body is segmented and armored, as well as massive in nature, rivaling that of Imperials. For simplicity's sake, and in an attempt to go unseen, he often chooses a smaller size to be hidden from eyes he fears are looking for him. Altais is albino, his scales and skin lacking pigment.
