Biography
Dib was lucky really, or so they told her. She'd been found by Fen, "abandoned" in a scrape of a dusty plain. First time he'd put his nose close she'd bit him, left a nice little scar too, but he'd persisted and was soon carrying her far away from her nest. She'd screeched at first, flight was not what mirrors were built for, but he fed her, taught her how to speak "like a proper dragon" and soon she came to call Fen her friend. Then he'd brought her to the Fae lair. She'd been scared at first, snapping at anyone who came close that wasn't Fen. But eventually she'd settled and the memories of a mother, which had always been hazy, faded completely. She ignores the call of the mirror packs who pass by, not caring in the least for them. Fen raised her and Fen she'll follow. He is her pack now.
One day Fen was gone for a long time, he did not come back until late in the evening. Dib could feel all for of her eyelids going heavy when she finally set eyes on him, she ran to him, jumping up at the feathery package he held in his mouth. "What is it? Is it food? We've already eaten Fen! Fen?" He warded her off it with a growl before setting it down. "This, my feral pup, is a wildwood owl. I cannot always be here to protect you, so she is here to help with that. Look after her and she will look after you." Dib sniffed at the owl and it tilted its head in return. "I think I'd like a friend" she yawned, snuggling down against the owl's soft feathers. It hooted in surprise, about to shuffle away when a glare from Fen kept it in its place. It sat down, watching over little Dib. Fen nodded in approval before going off to his own nest.
