Fierce, cunning and brave, he will stand up for his clan and fight until the last blood is drawn. His mate, Inadage sees the side of him no other can. Stoic and battle-roughened, he treats his family with tenderness and honor.
Originally an Imperial hailing from the Wyrmwound, he grew tired of the conflict and the harsh environment, making his way to the Starfall Isles to rest. Shortly after arriving, he engaged in battle with a group of mages mistaking him for an invader there to spread plague. He surrendered honorably, stating he had no ill intent, but not before a strong bolt of Arcane energy warped his body, leaving his strong scaled body to one slightly more... fluffy.

Once Shumbha awoke, he found himself in the crystalline halls of the mages' clan. His vision was blurry and his body weak, the clerics tended to his wounds and took care of him as he grew accustomed to his new body. At first Shumbha was disgusted, but it slowly grew on him. Once he was healed and had his bearings straight, he left to find a clan of his own.

Talivan found Shumbha wandering about in Vengshiir territory and engaged him in battle. Finding the Coatl to be of high prowess in battle, he called a truce and extended a talon, offering him a home if he would vow to help protect it. Shumbha reluctantly agreed to stay temporarily... That is, until he met the Coatl Inadage. One of the few females that looked passed his cold battle-weary exterior to see what was within.

Perhaps he'd stay longer than he would have originally liked.
