Dewdrop was born to local fire princess Lan, and her mate, Artorious. Despite her parents being in an arranged marriage, to Dewdrop's eyes they adored each other, and Dewdrop deeply desired a relationship like her parents'. She hasn't had anyone catch her eye yet, but someday. Someday, a prince will come for this little princess...

She's very close to her brother Sianadh, and often corresponds with him via letter. Though she worries about his reckless behavior, there isn't much she can do other than write in all caps in her letters. The two of them send gifts to each other, like jewelry or the mead she makes. While her mother disapproves of sending her brother mead, Dewdrop is quite proud of her craft.

She first got the idea from the local beekeeper and resident screw-up, Ditzel. He managed to make low-quality mead through a complicated series of mistakes. Dewdrop was inspired to make her own, quality mead. Tutoring under a local brewer, she soon got a grasp on how to make it, and developed her own fermenting technique utilizing bacteria. Her bestseller is a blackberry mead, called the Black Madonna.
