Naturally dragons were creatures of the sky but this pearlcatcher was the exact opposite. She was a creature of the sea. Her favorite thing to do was to dive into the great depths and just get lost in the watery worlds underneath. One day something magical seemed to happen. She was swimming through a small coral reef, one of her favorite activities even though she had to be careful not to pump her tail or pearl into anything. While she was swimming a small group of fish slowly came up to her. She was shocked and almost swallowed a mouthful of water. Usually the small creatures were terrified of her and swam away from her. But this tiny pod slowly came closer and closer to her. She held deathly still wondering how close they would come. She slowly help out her claw wondering what the colorful creatures would do. A brave soul darted up to her hand and let his fins brush against it. The others quickly followed seeing that there was no danger. The small creatures started to circle around her and play with her tail and the horn that stuck out of the top of her head. Finally the females lungs started to burn and she had to part ways with the fish. She quickly swam up to the surface and broke through the top of the water quickly breathing in some air. Thanks to her large lungs she was able to hold her breath for a long time, but not forever. She dunked her head back under water when she felt something brush against her foot. To her delight the fish where still there and swimming around her.
