Biography

Hatshepsut | Visiting Ruler Hatshepsut was born in the Tangled Wood on a particularly dark day. She was one of four in her clutch and born of great tidings. Her clan was foretold of a coming queen that would herald them into a brighter and golden age. Hatshepsut was supposed to be that queen and everyone looked to her for counsel. But as she grew older out of her hatchling form, she thought that she would rather not be a queen. She wanted to be a normal dragon and not somebody that people depended everything on. Hatshepsut, she just wanted to be a dragon, maybe a mother one day. She didn't mind counseling. She just did not want that to be all that she could do. She wanted to be someone more than just a heralded queen. |
So Hatshepsut went away from her clan and ventured forth into the world, looking for a clan that would take her in and not take into account of who she was or would become, but of who she is inside.
|
She passed through the Sunbeam Ruins and though the bright rays of the sun were warm and inviting to her and matched the colors of her hide, in the end she decided not to stay there. The clans among the Sunbeam Ruins did welcome her, but they valued her for the turn of her color than for herself.

After the Ruins, Hatshepsut passed by the Sea of a Thousand Currents. The place was as blue as can be and the water was so very alluring. She stayed there for many months just indulging herself in the cool water and the feel of the sun at the same time. But soon, as all good things, her time in the place was at an end. The clans were demanding to know of her decision. Was she going to say with them or would she be moving on. She chose to move on as she did not want to become a prized dragoness, only good enough to be mated to a 'good dragon husband'. |
Soon after flying off in anger at their comments, Hatshepsut came across the region of the Shifting Expanse. Her eyes grew big at the wonder of the tall spires of lightning shift from one moment to the next, zapping at the air. This place was both wondrous and unholy. As she glanced across the area, she saw how diverse all the dragons were in their clans. There was no one thing that put her to her right mind. It was the way they were treating each other. As she observed them in the coming days and months, she saw that they treated all and each other equally, only giving disdain where it was warranted.

After months of roaming and looking for a perfect clan for herself, Hatshepsut ultimately decided to make her new nest among the Verlorenes. She was finally happy that she was able to find herself a clan to call home.
