Moros came from a wandering clan like most of his kind, born in the land of the Arcanist but never making his home anywhere, at least until he suffered great wounds in a duel with another mirror dragon, and was tied down by his injuries.

As he waited to see if his wounds would heal Moros met another mirror dragon wandering alone through the Viridian Labyrinth, a young female named Apate. Apate stayed with Moros for awhile, having one clutch of hatchlings with him before her need to wander returned, and she left the closed walls of the Labyrinth for the open ice plains of the Icewarden. There she met another handsome male, a Guardian named Dynasty, and had one clutch with him before her own insecurities wormed their way into her mind. She wondered if Dynasty could truly love her when he was wholly devoted to his charge, the territory of the Southern Icefields that he protected with his life. Her insecurities eventually caused her to leave Dynasty behind, and looking to move on from her abandoned love she had two hatchlings with a Nocturne named Al. Word eventually reached her though, that Dynasty had exalted himself to the service of his beloved charge, the Icewarden. Upon hearing the news Apate ran the rest of the way to the Icewarden's Fortress of Ends, and exalted herself to him, in hopes that by doing so she could begin to understand Dynasty, and return to him. Al, who had fallen in love with his short lived mate, followed her soon after.

Meanwhile Moros was coming to the realization that his injuries were not going to heal and free him from the Viridian Labyrinth, and fell into a despair. He stared into the freedom beyond the trees for weeks, sitting so still that the Fey dragons of the Sword Fern clan painted his entire body in the likeness of the forest. One day as Moros was moping in his lack of freedom he heard laughter behind him, and turned to find a mirror female around his age laughing at him, covered in paint. She helped him shed the silly skin and he and Oboros fell in love, she helped him find adventures he could have within the forest despite his injuries. They still live together on the outskirts of the Sword Fern clan, raising their children together before sending them out to find their own adventures.
