Biography
Gemini; the last twin
Then there was the lost soul who would be groomed to be clan leader.
I am the first of many. When the clan was first started and new, fresh, dragons moved in- I was one of the first hatchlings to display magical prowess. I can barely remember the first time I managed to make the food that our leader had so kindly provided us dance around my head in a well coordinated tango. My brother was the same, and so were the rest of the hatchlings from each nest born at that time. They were my friends.
And the adult dragons, including our great leader, many of whom could not move a pebble let alone fathom our powers loved us dearly. Yet, our powers began to turn destructive. Months worth of food were destroyed- nests and homes were left in rubble by hatchlings who didn't know better, couldn't know better.
At my young age I saw the destruction and began to control my powers, refusing to let it lash out and smash and destroy like it wanted to. I tried to teach my brother, my twin, but he did not learn, could not learn fast enough to prevent what was happening...maybe he didn't want to, he had always been a freer spirit than I.
He was one of the first to leave, my parents sent him away, their hearts hurting as they waved goodbye as he glided away, across the gentle grasses. I used to have a different name, but as I watched him go I resolved to call myself Gemini, despite my given name, for my lost brother. My parents, despite doing their best, could not cope and both went to serve the Lightweaver only months after.
I needed to throw myself into study, to apply it, to try to find some reason or resolution. I learned not just from books and texts but also from nature around me- particularly the birds who flew from clans near and far, this is how I met my faithful companion.
The others began to take notice of my rapid gaining of knowledge and soon became impressed- one day I was summoned to a clan meeting and was approached by the intimidating clan leader. With a large sigh, she launched into a tale of purpose and deities and I knew my position then-
One day the task of leading the clan would fall to me.
A Conversation Between Gemini and the Three Princesses
PrincessPoopy: So you're like the clan's princess then?
Gemini: I'd consider it more like a clan leader in traini-
PrincessPoopy: What happens if I fight you and win?
Salty: Don't mind her, she asks everyone that.
PrincessPoopy: What would happen?
Margeaux: : Ribbit
PrincessPoopy: Shut up Marg, what do you know?
Margeaux: Ribbit
Salty: Marg's right, we just got here, it'd be best to not challenge the next clan leader to a death match.
PrincessPoopy: You guys think so little of me? ....It wasn't going to be a death match we'd stop after maiming-
Gemini: Nah I'd be down for a death match.
PrincessPoopy: FINALLY, someone with some HONOUR
Margeaux: RIBBIT
