biography
[WIP]
Solaris grew up in close quarters to the royal family. Her father was high in the ranks of Nazoc's military, and as a hatchling and young dragon she worked with inferiors and servants, and learned to fight in her free time. When her father retired, he spent his newly free days teaching the young heir as well, and often Solaris would overlap with them. She sparred frequently with Faolain, and the two warred for a long time before bonding unexpectedly when the queen fled.

Solaris's other childhood friends, Amaris and Kvothe, and her foster sister Celeste, surrounded Faolain as she grieved. Solaris's own father deeply opposed Faolain's uprising, consistently excusing Nazoc's disturbing behavior, and Solaris began to resent him for it due to having witnessed up close the effects it was having on Faolain. When her father finally deserted, most of Nazoc's soldiers went him, as well as their families. Because it was a militant kingdom, that left almost no one.

Solaris formed deep bonds with Amaris, Kvothe, Celeste, and Faolain during the exile of Nazoc, despite the rollercoasters of emotion the young heir dragged them all through. Solaris herself was not a deeply emotional individual, but she found herself to be surprisingly empathetic, which at times was exhausting. She would often take Celeste away to teach her the basics of combat, but the time was mostly for herself to clear her head.

Solaris and Faolain would also take time for themselves, to spar and blow off steam, and they grew closer during these inconsistent but important times. She is Faolain's best friend, and her opinion weighs heavily on the Matriarch's decisions as a leader now.
