Eskil came to the Nebula Guild from the Lunar Abyss, a clan in the Sea of a Thousand Currents.

More of the "zany" inventor rather than a serious one, Eskil's a bit hard to deal with if you don't already know him. He starts and stops projects on a whim-- most of which he never picks up again, leaving them for his apprentice and assistant Attacus the construction mith to finish. It seems like he's got 70 projects going at once and he's the least organized inventor that's ever come out of the Shifting Expanse.

Maybe more of his projects would get finished if he let people know what he was working on, but he's so uptight about his secrets that he only lets Attacus in on them. Attacus has never revealed these secrets, though whether this is out of politeness and loyalty, or because of intimidation and blackmail is unknown. His old colleague Sylvia was constantly on him about finishing projects, and his current colleague Storm does much the same. But he usually blows them off.

He's also a bit rude, often dropping formalities and getting right to the point. Also tends to call people by honorifics in a condescending tone, especially if they're trying to get him to do something. But he's not intentionally mean or cruel and most in the clan like him, even though he's a bit of a mess.
