Why Large Bodies Of Water Is Hazardous To Normal Dragons

....................Sornieth is full of many dangers already. From the shade to rivaling flights, to the Beastclan. But have you ever considered one of our largest threats, one so massive it covers all of Sornieth in its suffocating grasp? This threat is the ocean, and other larger bodies of water as well. This will seem odd to those who have not experienced the sheer power and horror an ocean holds. This ranges from the animals to the currents, to even the water as a whole. We have a good way to prevent any disasters in the future if we just plan now, as the weather could get more extreme before we know it. Oceans and large bodies of water are dangerous, and the only way to keep ourselves safe is to fill them up with sand and rocks to make them more shallow.

....................First, the animals. We may fear the large animals above, but have you seen the animals below the sea? They can grow many times larger than a ridgeback and have teeth the size of faes. This could wreck our communities if we even want to go fishing in the ocean, as a whole fishing party can disappear without a trace if one of those monsters shows up. We have all seen horrifying things wash up on the shores, right? Those are only the tip of the iceberg.

....................Next, we have the currents. Terrible things, taking advantage of those who are weaker! These currents can easily sweep away anyone, from hatchlings to adult guardians alike. This can mean that dragons can be swept away, and we could not find them. They could easily drown, or be eaten by one of the aforementioned sea monsters. We simply can not accept this happening to our people, and we need to be more aware.

....................Finally, the water itself. Have you ever felt the terror of drowning? This author has. You can never feel anything more horrifying. Imagine yourself playing by the water, not a care in the world. Then you slip. Then you fall. You can't swim back up. You see dangerous animals, huge and ready to devour you. You want to scream, but of course you can't. The water would fill your lungs. So instead you are pushed out by a riptide. You travel for miles, and you can barely see land but the time you slow down. And at the end of it, you are out in the open sea. All you can do is tread, but you are so tired. Only a miracle saves you, and that is after many hours of floating. You thought you could have died. And that will stick with you until you pass on. That is me. And the ocean is the cause of my current problems. I do not want this to happen to anyone else.

....................So, the ocean is dangerous. The animals, the currents, and the water itself are all threats to our way of life. What do we do? Fill it. Fill it with sand, fill it with stones, fill it with anything. We can still get our fish, and we will not waste anymore lives. What else is better for our way of life?
