Biography

"Take care not to knock over my lanterns, okay? Those are important."

Coppertone is an odd duck, according to the other members of his family. The Spiral dragon is thought of more as a family friend who never leaves than another child of the family. He is an adoption who was rather discovered than rescued. Copper is cagey about the details of how he came to be curled around Tradewind and Niaka one night, so Knifedge and Thundercracker simply try to accept that he was always with them. He appreciates that.

Coppertone hates to be without some form of light. He compulsively steals anything that gives off light. His collection contains burnt-out torches, long-dead flashlights, countless lanterns, bioluminescent insects, and plastic glow-in the dark stars for the walls around his sleeping place. One time he brought home an entire bonfire, still burning. When he was a hatchling, he tried to fly up to the Sun and bring it back with him, but the only thing he got from that attempt was a broken foreleg.

He is exceptionally good at taking care of children, and one day hopes that Niaka will agree to his offer.
