Tyche prides herself on her unique birthplace. Wardlaw is an abandoned city, a city that once had as much power as Carthis. She is one of a few dragons alive today who was born there. The history of Wardlaw is an emotional one. While Carthis fell to enemies, Wardlaw fell to the gods. The city is as far north as any dragon can go, in another world of ice and wind.

Many years ago berserkers tore up the southern mainland while nature fought ferociously in the north, a bad era for the Realm. Dragons struggled to survive in safety with berserkers around every corner in a hungry haze. In the north, ice storms lasted for months on end and tore apart the city of Wardlaw with no mercy. Dragons were forced to leave or they were buried in snow. In the end on one fateful day, an avalanche thundered from the mountains and accompanied a fierce blizzard, wiping out and freezing the entire city of Wardlaw in place.

Tyche was a member of the last group of dragons to leave. She saw the ice and snow take the city, listened to her family weep at their lost home. Like most misplaced dragons, the family split up. The ones who could stand the southern climate, including Tyche and her parents, went to Olympia as the obvious solution. After bragging and living a lush life as a rich dragon from a legendary city, she made it her duty to follow Hera's revolution and be a star in a new clan, because she wasn't getting enough attention in Olympia.
