Dahlia is the self appointed leader of the clan Cicatricosus, though that hardly means much with how uncooperative its members though. Even then, she still looks after those who've aligned themselves with the clan. She's always melancholic and never acts with much energy unless needed. In fact, her whole attitude can change if the lives of those few she holds dear are put at risk, and will often make poor decisions out of desperation to keep her loved ones save. Because of this, she's a savage beast to go up against in fights, and will often attack in what others would consider unfair, aiming blows at her opponents eyes and anywhere else that's sensitive on them.

Dahlia is smart, though her actions are often clouded and distorted through fear and emotion. And any of her old clanmates would understand why. Dahlia has gone through alot in her life, and has changed drastically through out the years. She started out as a loving fae named Iris, who simply wanted to start and care for a clan that she could call her family. However, that clan soon crumbled through her claws as illness after illness struck her clan and took her loved ones away from her. She eventually stepped down from her position as leader, and during a clan migration, ran off with several others from her clan. The others had their own reasons for running off, but Iris couldn't stand being around her clan anymore. Between losing so many dragons and feeling it was her own fault, destroying her relationship between her and her mate unintentionally, and feeling like she was a terrible clan leader, she simply couldn't bare being around her old clan anymore. It became that way so much so that she changed her whole outwardly appearance and name to avoid recognition from her clan, and eventually spread word of Iris being dead to make sure no one went looking for her.

With all the events that Dahlia endured, she felt it would be easier to try and join under the force that she thought was causing her troubles, seeing that she thought the illnesses were caused by the Plague flight since they were in Nature the two times it happened. Others might call it a cowardly move, but she simply couldn't handle any more loss, and just wanted the suffering around her to end.

She wouldn't necessarily say that at this point she's happy with her life, but she can admit that she's in a better place than she was before, now that she has Raven in her life. Raven was the exact support that she needed, being there for Dahlia and being as gentle and approachable with her as she could. Raven could understand what she'd been through, and was willing to support her after everything else she'd cared about had been taken from her. Only problem now is Dahlia is fearful that she'll soon lose Raven, too.

Iris was at one point leader of this very clan. In fact, while she led it, it wasn't even referred to as Renaissance. Rather, it was referred to as Laxamentum, and was a flourishing flight that dwelled in Nature flight territory. She dreamed nothing more than to simply lead a clan that she could refer to not exactly as a clan, but rather, a family. However, illness after illness literally plagued the clan, killing off more members than any one dragon in the clan could count, tearing dragons apart from her that she loved one by one.

After a third illness swept over the clan, leaving no more than 15 dragons in her once blossoming clan, she simply didn't have the energy to go on with leading them. Along with that, her mate Crimson, who also lead the clan, had broken his wings while out hunting, making it so he couldn't fly, leaving him at a vulnerable position. The two stepped down from their ranks as leaders and decided it would be best to return to their original home under the rule of the Arcanist.

Along the way, they met Hilliard, who offered them protection on their way home, and after seeing her actions and natural leadership, Iris decided she would be best fit to lead their clan. Upon reaching a new bit of territory to call their home, it was decided between Iris, Crimson, and Hilliard to rename the clan. The name they decided to call their newly reformed clan was none other than Renaissance.

Iris now lives her days trying to relax and aiding Crimson, always cautioning him to not push himself and hurt his once injured wings again. She still acts very motherly towards all the dragons in the clan, and helps to raise dragons who are found with no parents. She's now always has a tired look on her face, but, can you blame her? She's been through so much...

Iris is the dragon who helped to start up Laxamentum. She started Laxamentum in the hopes of growing a large, open clan of dragons that is ever growing and loving She is often looked at as the mother of every dragon and is extremely kind and caring. Despite taking in alot of dragons who are...well, not the most enjoyable to be around, she does her best to be sure that they feel welcomed and happy with where they are. She and her mate, Crimson, are practically inseparable when they're around each other, but she'll happily let him go off to the coliseum with a few of their clanmates to train and bring back whatever they find for their clan. She prefers to stay at the lair whenever those dragons go out so she can stay there and look after whoever else is left behind. She's the proud mother of many dragons, and is unbelievably proud of them all. Many of them have been exalted, and even though that fact saddens her, she is still proud of them.
