An ancient thing, shaped in stone and awakened by blood. A massive thing, who blots out the sun with the span of his wings and eclipses the moon with the bulk of his head. A powerful thing, unknown magics churning beneath his skin, vast energies burning behind his eyes. He turns or shatters time with a whisper, cracks the earth or melts the land to lava with a thought.

No one in clan Chronos knows the nature of the dark energies that woke Hylan from where he slumbered, dead, deep beneath the earth. Time turned his skin and flesh and bone to hard, unfeeling, desert-dry stone, but some seep of living liquid from an unknown source brought the life back to him, in a sick and twisted way. He is still stone, impenetrable and heavy, and while he has the shape of dragonkind he is not one - the blood that stained him gave him the form of the one who bled. Some say he is born from the fallen flesh of the first gods as they warred. Some say he is older than the gods themselves.
