As cruel and derisive as the Plaguelands are inhospitable, Ghast is not a dragon to be trifled with. Many fear the festering contagion in his blood and the barbed words on his tongue, which, to some, are more dreadful than claws and teeth. His presence and that of the other Plague dragons in the clan has more than once been called into question, and with no definitive answer from the clan's council, unrest grows.
Verve seems the only dragon who can tolerate him, and in turn she is the only one to whom he shows anything other than loathing... likely for the reason that she willingly bears his offspring. No one is quite sure what her motives are, but there are some disturbing rumors about hatchling sacrificial offerings...
