Biography
While Lazure isn't the largest Imperial in the clan, he's definitely the heaviest for his length. It may have something to do with all of those rock and crystal growths all over his body, but he does have quite a bit of chub going on. Hey, the clan never goes without when it comes to food! Though it's an inheritable disease, Gembond can pave the way for other mineral-related problems later on in life; this ranges from only partial conversion of the body, to lethal mineralization in the rare cases when it reaches the inner organs.
And yes, the gold is real; Lazure's body pulls out minute traces of gold in his food so they're very slow to grow, but occasionally he knocks a few chunks out by request so one of the Fire flighters can make gold jewelry and accents for the clan. The crystals don't have much use aside from looking pretty on Lazure, as they're nearly impossible to pull free.
So far, Lazure's chances of living to a ripe old age doesn't look too great. But if there's one thing this gentle giant is known for, it's an unrivaled optimism coupled with a carefree attitude.
