Biography
First Generation Soultaken
Soultaken are an ancient and powerful race of pure dragons. They are the spawn of the gods, but more like fragments of the gods than children. Their histories and bloodlines bind them together. Many of the oldest legends of dragons in Sorneith started by saying that they were the essence of sorcery inherited from the gods. First Generation Soultaken cannot be killed or exalted, but they can be chained or banished.
"Everything began with the Soultaken, who walked worlds in the guise of mortals, but were in truth the children of gods. They created. They destroyed. They set things into motion, driven by a curiosity which often waned, leaving to the fates all that followed. They displayed perverse impulses; they viewed one another with indifference or suspicion, yet upon meeting often displayed extraordinary empathy. They held to unwritten laws on sanctity, territorial interests and liberty, and they played with power as would a child a toy."*
It is uncertain at the moment whether Soultaken are related by blood/ancestry or not, and whether the uses of "brother" and "sister" when referring to each other are indicative of a direct relationship between them or is an honorific. Soultaken such as Brevity and Mok often refer to each other as 'brother' and 'sister', however this is sometimes used multiple times during a conversation, which is more characteristic of an honorific than a blood relation. Not all Soultaken refer to each other as "brother" and "sister" which could suggest relations between some Soultaken and not others. A relationship that is disavowed when a Soultaken commits an act widely disapproved of is possibly why the use is dropped. Or if an individual has only one Soultaken parent and thus might be thought to be of mixed blood or questionable heritage, though this is unlikely as Soultaken pass their blood to their offspring. If a parent has Soultaken blood, so does their child.

~ After his tumultuous youth, Mok has grown in both wisdom and tolerance and settled down. As a Warrior and Mentor, along with Brevity, he takes new members under his protection. He revels in training youngsters in self-defence and survival skills and with his quick, easy smile and fondness for jokes or play he is well loved by his students. Despite his easy nature, Mok can become enraged when his clan mates are threatened and it can prove difficult for him to regain control. He is a staunch defender of his clan and will fight fiercely to protect those who cannot defend themselves.~
