Biography

Gaia

Priestess of the Gladekeeper | Nature Magic Instructor
—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–——–—–——–
Gaia came to the clan to spread the wisdom and teachings of the Gladekeeper. She strives to embody the essence of nature at all times. Thus, while she encourages life wherever she finds it, she occasionally ambivalent or cold - or at least apparently thus to those who do not understand her logic. In reality, she just values all life equally. The great beast is no more important than the plants and animals that would be strengthened from its carcass.

In addition to spreading knowledge, she is also the clan's foremost instructor on nature magics. Since Tyna is an ice dragon by birth, she was more than grateful for Gaia's assistance in this matter, not wanting her clan to grow up uneducated. She is a very patient teacher, though she shows no mercy to students unwise enough to not pay attention in class. Her students have learned well not to test her boundaries.

Keeping in mind the constant struggle between Nature and Plague clans, Gaia took it upon herself to obtain "servants" of a sort. She found what she needed in two misfit dragons that she came upon wandering alone in the jungle - Bonegnawer and Ragabash. "Lone wolves do not survive," she told them, "Come with me and find your pack." The two quickly settled into the task of serving her. They listen to her teachings and act as couriers, scouts, and warriors.

Gaia is occasionally distant from other dragons and will often spend days just sitting quietly and "listening" to the forest. However, she did decide to take a mate - a young Guardian named Riversong, who acts as a protector of the clan's waterways. His desire to spread knowledge of conservation works well with her own ambitions, and the two occasionally produce offspring to send out into the world and act as ambassadors, teaching others responsible ways to preserve the natural world.
