Zikel is an ambitious and fearless hunter, braving storms and wild beasts to provide for his clan. While he is stubborn and wild, he cares for his clan, and their safety is his main concern, along with his mate, Sabori.
Trained since birth as a warrior of plague, Zikel was sent early to serve the PlagueBringer in her war against the Gladekeeper, living only to fight and survive. During a brutal battle in the Glade Veins, he was injured severely and left to die by his companions when he became too weak from fever to preserve himself any longer.
He was found and saved by Sabori, a healer of the army of the Glade Keeper, who attempted to nurture him and convince him to join her own Deity. He initially refused her, and met her kindness with anger and retaliation. However, while he healed, he became her reluctant conversation partner and eventual friend, but remained unwelcome and a prisoner of the army, only tolerating it all to remain with Sabori.
When she suggested they leave their respective deities, he did not hesitate, and both fled together to find refuge in another land. The two struggled to survive and work through their difference of view, but ultimately held together and grew stronger in the face of their exile, eventually finding a home in the Palace.

The Healer

Sabori tends the Clan's ill and wounded with her carefully grown herbs and elemental magic. Formally a member of the Glade Keeper's army, she is well practiced and diligent, and while she has little patience for reluctant or foolish patients, she does her best to look after her much loved home in the palace since arriving with her mate Zikel.
Once fiercely loyal to the realm of Nature, she gave up her ties, and lost everything in order to be with Zikel, a former warrior of Plague. While she feels guilt over her decision, she has done her best to start again and live happily within the palace.
