Neville

Exit the northern side of the ruins, and you'll find yourself in a verdant jungle. Tall trees stretch overhead, pines, oaks, and kapoks growing together with seeming disregard for the temperate climate. Thick vines twist through the boughs, laden with flowers, and the dense underbrush confines your wanderings to a few twisting paths. Bright sunlight pours through the leaves, dappling the forest floor with shifting light.
Each turn brings wondrous new sights to your eyes: a tall stand of pines, soothing your thoughts with their windy whisperings and drawing your gaze upwards; an orderly orange grove suddenly converges with a field of wild strawberries, offering up their sweet bounty to you; a path lined with gentle rose bushes of all colors, each inviting you to bend downward for a sniff; cool ferns swish against your legs as you continue forward, and the air is suffused with the scent of wild jasmine and other blooming plants. Circling a particularly broad bougainvillea, you suddenly find yourself on the edge of a cliff. The heavy scent of saltwater assaults you, and far below, the crashing of waves upon the unseen shore can be heard.
Turning back, you trip over a round object you had not noticed before, enthralled with the beauty of your surroundings. Closer inspection reveals it to be large pearl, its opalescence obscured by a layer of dirt. "I'd been wondering where that went" a voice interrupts your reverie, an you look up to find yourself face-to-face with a young Pearlcatcher, unexpectedly handsome underneath the grime besmirching his features and the leaves and twigs ensnared in his mane. Despite his brilliant autumnal colors, he seems to blend in with the verdant surroundings.
"My name is Neville. Welcome to my domain," His gesture encompasses all the plants around you. A freshly cut, blushing pink rose is grasped in his jaws, its petals still damp with dew. He tenderly wraps it up in a damp towel as you watch. "It's for a specially someone," he explains, seeing your look. "Come, this forest can ensnare you of you're not careful. Let me lead you back to the castle."

Neville's original moth familiar was gifted to Vulcan by on of the more established Light clans. The other dragon had been studying the moth's physiology and behaviors, but eventually became so frustrated with it nibbling on the corners of his books that he foisted it off on the young Pearlcatcher, who was more than happy to accept. Besides, what's a few books between friends? Some of Neville's notes have been known to display suspiciously dragon-y tooth marks around the edges from time to time.

His new dryad familiar was adopted from the inter-Light Flight Familiar exchange. She is steadily coming to trust this new group of dragons, and delights in helping Neville around the garden.
