Biography
(Rivertracks)
Menethmoru shares his new role of the lair's Master of Arms with Freyr the Skydancer.
Generally speaking, Freyr's duty is to manage aerial matters, while Menethmoru handles matters on the ground. Both are battle-tested, which provides some common ground, particularly since Freyr has taken the less-usual path for a Skydancer of training in arts martial rather than magical.
The two Masters of Arms have frequent differences of opinion, but the protection of the lair is paramount, much more important than petty arguments. Usually. Thistlepuff, their liege, is quite careful to show neither of them favoritism. He prefers to leave them to sort out their differences under his watchful eye rather than step in and cast the deciding vote, although he'd do so if circumstances required them to be reminded of the larger picture.
Under more typical circumstances, that duty falls to Thistle's advisor Chalybion. Chalybion considers it a mark of their suitability to their positions that he only rarely needs to do so.
Menethmoru has been befriended by Hestina the Spiral. At least, he's fairly certain the word 'friend' occurred somewhere within the Spiral's constant stream of chatter. She hangs --or rather, being a Spiral, she spins, loops, flutters, and darts-- around him a lot, anyway. He finds her dizzying and difficult to hold a conversation with, but not unlikable.
