Apprentice Ambassador of Rare Earth Trades

Royal was given her uncle's name. He was dignified and calm, and had earned his name through his leadership qualities and calm yet authoritative demeanor. Though not actual royalty, he has earned the respect of many along with the promotions such attributes often earn. Though the clan is primarily run in a collaborative way, Royal's nickname gained such regular use that only the true "rulers" even remember his given name. His role in the clan kept him traveling, leaving him out of the water, so to speak, for long stretches of time. It wasn't bad being on dry land so much though; many had commented on how cultured he'd become. A long while after living successfully with the clan, his sister Heiress moved in too. She whole-heartedly joined in with Royal's duties, having a very similar demeanor and set of abilities. The two made an incredible team. The clan boasted great financial returns as a result of their professional and diplomatic successes. And then her best friend from her childhood clan also followed. No longer children, their friendship evolved to become the relationship everyone anticipated, even despite her long absences due to her duties. But, when a nest was laid, and the time came to decide who would care for the little ones, Heiress found herself clinging desperately to the life she had been enjoying. How could she give all of that up now? Royal supported her choice. Her dear friend did too, but something in the process had left her with an odd resentment toward him. It was as if she thought he'd put her in a position she could never reconcile. When the eggs hatched, Royal and Heiress stayed in the lair the longest either of them ever had. They celebrated the new dragonets, enjoyed the company of their clan mates, and had everyone enamored by their smooth style and charismatic mannerisms. When the two announced together that they felt they'd outgrown the clan and desired to serve the Tidelord, it was one of the rare times that the clan collectively felt disappointed, rather than honored.

Royal wasn't old enough to learn anything from her mother or uncle, but when her uncle told her the name she'd been given was also his, she felt proud, and eager to live up to it. But that's just how children are...

The story of how the family is spread between many friends' lairs, and possibly royal after all ;}, from the clan of Royal's mother and father:

I just for some reason decided to look into CuQuoise's last Royal-or-maybe-Elena's genealogy (yes, I already adore her bio) :)
So let's begin from her parents (who both are at current at CuQuoise's lair) - from her mother Heiress first (why not?), who is daughter of my pair Caradoc and Nefertiti (daughter of tigerteeth's pair, by the way). Royal-or-maybe-Elena has also permanents uncle Bregalad and so far unnamed aunt in my lair from this side of family and uncle Upsilon in darzoner's lair (could she say hello some time?).
Grandfather Caradoc is from my another current pair - Soulforge and Mishief (daughter of my custom progen Azura and Aerie). There Royal-or-maybe-Elena has from my lair currently: 2 great uncles Terrowin and Maelrys, great aunt Andromeda and another great (half?) aunt Patrice. From Maelrys' side there is once-removed cousin Amyrlin in KingOfThePark's lair (hello to you too!), twice-removed cousins - kids of Amyrlin - Arown in CorvusIgnis's lair (hi!), Mimbres in CuQuoise's lair again (ha! I bet you didn't see it coming too XD ) and unnamed tundra in Bibliomancer's lair (hello!). From Terrowin's side another once-removed cousin Eda and twice-removed cousin in EmberFlare's lair (hi! we here are investigating family relations inside GAA).
Now what about father? Sukhovey is son of another my pair Doane and Liliana (I got her from Loelya21). There Royal-or-maybe-Elena has aunt Sumati (tigerteeth's lair again) and uncle Loras in Hyululu's lair (hi!), and also cousin Rhiangar in my lair.
Paternal grandfather Doane is son of Regulus and Maeve (she is from old Loelya21's lair). From this side here is once-removed cousin Antares in my lair and twice-removed cousin Maeve in Tideweaver's lair.
Great-grandfather Regulus is kid of Emir and Hestia (daughter of Periun and therefore granddaughter of... right, Azure and Aerie and so sister of Mishief, who is our litlle Spiral's maternal great-grandmother XD). There Royal-or-maybe-Elena has great-great uncle Heketoro, 3 great-great (half?)aunts Joikila, Lunari, Aegis, and 2 twice-removed (half?)cousins Runesoul and Sivir - all in my lair.
I will probably stop here before i decide to look into kids of my progens, who would be half-siblings of Royal-or-maybe-Elena's maternal great-grandmother and paternal great-great-great-grandmother... XD
