Fulgrim

The clan's diviner, charming and cultured. In the Icefield, a skilled ice mage - to predict the weather and test the sturdiness of sea ice - can be of invaluable use to any clan. Fulgrim knows this, and uses it to get away with more that he would otherwise.

He speaks little of his childhood, usually finding a clever way to slip around the question and flatter the questioner in the process. Although he is definitely a native of the Icefield, Volka and Russ aren't sure what clan he originally hails from. Nevertheless, the clan leaders generally respect his desire for secrecy - it's simply hard to imagine him doing something unsavory (as opposed to, say, Sathonyx). Not to say that he doesn't get into trouble. He does, constantly. He is, however, a hard dragon to stay mad at.

You see, Fulgrim is notorious for propositioning anyone he considers attractive, and he has a very broad definition of that word. If given a firm 'no', he is usually polite enough to tone it down to mere flirting. Additionally, he can be quite lazy, although he usually manages to pull through at the last minute. He also has a knack for mockery, and a poor hold on his tongue in general. He likes to say that his more cutting remarks are for the subject's own improvement; while this may be true, at any given time it is just as likely that he is merely indulging his penchant for mischief.

Fulgrim enjoys beauty, culture, and the finer things in life. With this in mind, his clanmates are baffled as to why he stays with the Doomed Clan. Fulgrim, of course, never gives them a straight answer. The truth is nuanced: first of all, he finds the challenge thrilling. The crises test him in ways he never experienced in his stable, thriving birth clan. He finds his magical skills growing by leaps and bounds, this way. Second, the chance to be an influence on this young clan and shape it into something tolerant and great tickles his ego. Third, after the trial that was that first hellish winter, he finds himself actually feeling a bond with the clan and its dragons...not that he would easily admit it.
