A mother and high-ranking in clan hierarchy. Technically a princess, but she is not related to the clan by blood. Mate to Meteor. She devotes her time to reading, looking at jewels with her mate, and teaching the hatchlings and young dragons of her clan. Some of the young dragons don’t like her because of her distracted demeanor. She usually misses the sarcasm in their comments when she’s trying to teach, and maybe that’s a good thing.
HISTORY
Mira was born with a head full of dreams and a heart full of fantasy. Her parents paid no attention to her, but that’s how they treated all of their children. It didn’t phase her much. Her imagination was all she needed to keep herself happy.
Time passed, and she was nearly grown. Mira lived in a very wealthy environment, and a crowded one too. It was easy to snatch a few things here or there. It wasn’t seen as wrong - it was just the way things were. So she grabbed some supplies, a few sacks of food, and was on her merry way to a new life somewhere else.
Eventually, she made her way to the edge of the Windswept Plateau and boarded a cargo ship headed for the Southern Icefield. The voyage took about a week, and it was the worst of Mira’s life. The food she managed to get her hands on on was very scarce, since she wasn’t part of the crew. Speaking of the crew, they were a dirty, obnoxious bunch, and were not pleased to have an extra dragon on board. Mira slept most of the time, trying to avoid the crew and her hunger.
Finally the ship arrived at the edge of the Snowsquall Tundra. Dizzy with hunger, Mira stumbled ashore, her claws sinking into the snow. Her instincts urged her to keep walking, and walking and walking...
Branches tugged at her wings. She opened her eyes. In front of her was a massive tangle of bushes and thorns. She heard quiet chatting from inside, with the occasional roar of laughter. up, she learned one very important thing: even if things are bad, it doesn't mean they won't get better. And they did. Soon she was a welcomed and valued member of her clan. She fell in love with Meteor, a handsome Skydancer who needed a clan to stay in. She got a small job as the teacher of her clan, helping the young hatchlings learn. She has the right traits, after all: she is patient, smart, kind, and quick-thinking, though if you threaten the hatchlings.... you'd better watch out.
