Yang

One day Yang and Yin were out in the forest playing. Their father was doing something and their mother was getting fish for the village. They were play fighting until they started to tumble down a surprise hill. Once their heads stopped spinning, they got up and saw a river with a very small wooden house. They looked at each other and Yang smirked and flew over the river before Yin could do anything. He sighed and followed his older sister. Why is she so curious all the time? Once he landed besides Yang, a old man walked out of the house. He had grey hair in a ponytail as he wore a light green robe with a brown rope around his waist. He was also hunched over using a stick with carvings in it as a cane. He smiled gently at them "Hello children. Im guessing you two are lost?"he gently asked. They nodded after a moment of hesitation. He chuckled. "Well, if you two can get rid of a mean bear near my home I'll help you two home."he said. Yang smiled brightly "Sure! We're brave enough! Plus, a bear can't take us both down."she said. Yin looked at Yang. "No. Mother always said bears around dangerous. Plus, I don't want you hurt. And we don't need help getting home."he said in a stern tone. Yang looked at Yin "Come on. We'll be fine! We're strong! Plus, we may know our way back but it would be right to help this old man."She said with her cheeks puffed out. Yin sighed and agreed. Yang cheered and the old man smiled. The old man then said he'll give them a reward. Yang said it wasn't needed but Yin was a little happy he'll at least get something out of this. The old man then soon walked them through a path to a clearing near by. They waited for the bear as the old man hid behind a tree. After a moment some bushes rustled and not a moment later a loud roar came from it. They got ready to fight as a huge elder bear came put on it's hind legs. They then shared a look before starting to fight it. After sometime, they got the bear weakened and they were ok. Just out of breath. The bear had a lot of scratches on it and it started to limp away. Yin was about to land the final blow but Yang stopped him by putting her wing in front of him. He looked at Yang surprised. "Yang, what are you doing? Let's end this."he said. Yang shook her head with a frown "It's already weak. I don't think it will be coming back."she said. Yin was about to argue but saw the bear had already got away so he just sighed and backed down. Yang smiled and called out to the elderly man that it was safe. The old man walked out slowly from behind. He made his way over. He smiled gently at them "Thank you. It means a lot to me you did this. You two are very brave."he said. Yang smiles brightly "You're welcome."then the old man reached into his robe and got out two necklaces. One had a yang charm on it as the other had a yin charm on it. He put the yang one on Yang and the yin one on Yin. He gently smiles "Light and Dark."he said. They blinked and looked at them. Yang smiled and looked at him "Thanks. These two are really cool."she says. Yin just looks at him. He chuckles softly as he shakes his head "No. Thank you. Have a lovely day. And come visit sometime."he said as he slowly headed home. They watched him and missed the slight glows of the charms on Yang's and Yin's necklaces. They headed home and found their parents deeply worried. They told them the story of how they found that old guy and helped them. And how they got their necklaces. The parents both looked at each surprised, as Yang and Yin were confused. The parents sighed and smiled. They all got in a family hug and had a good night. After that Yang and Yin would visit the old man. He would teach them life lessons and how to fight for some reason. But in the end he joined the family.
