Ravta

When Ravta was young, he left his birth clan to explore the rest of Sornieth. On the Southern Icefields, he met a mage, and stayed with her for a time. But when he desired to move on, she asked him to stay. She even said that they had been lovers in a past life. He didn’t believe her, and reminded her that he’d always said he had no plans to settle down. Angry, she froze his heart, cursing him to feel nothing for anyone but her. But the curse couldn’t make him love her. It just left him empty of all but fury and betrayal at what she had done. They fought, and he slew her. But the curse remained.

After that, he wandered, numb to everything. Years, possibly even a century later, he found himself back in the Sunbeam Ruins. Hearing laughter over a small hill, he was surprised when the sound stirred curiosity in him. Wary, he peered over the ridge. A pair of female dragons, twins in color but not species, were hunting together. One had apparently missed a swift deer in humorous fashion, but both were amused. Ravta, however, didn’t know what to feel. Or rather, he didn’t know how to explain that he was feeling anything at all. Had his curse finally thawed?

He revealed and introduced himself without making mention of his curse, and learned that their names were Uuna and Nuul. When he visited their clan, he quickly discovered that he still had no reaction to any other dragons. Uncertain, but wanting answers, he remained with Solisira’s clan.
