By all accounts, Glamour appears to be Arcane-born—but the fact that he is, by his own admission, a "mechanical marvel" suggests Lightning roots. No one is entirely sure where he's from or how he came to be, because all he'll ever say on the matter is that his (very real, fully functional) heart belongs to the Isles.

That said, where he originated is a much less pressing question than that of his nature.

Not one of his clanmates—not even Dreamweaver, with their incredible age and extensive library of knowledge, nor Hyde, with his unrivaled expertise in the fields of machinery and robotics—have been able to parse out how whoever assembled him managed to blend flesh and machine so seamlessly. For the most part, he is robotic, but there are pieces of him, particularly the internal bits, that are completely organic, and this is a feat that, to the clan's knowledge, has never been accomplished with such rousing success.

To make matters worse (and even more puzzling), any attempts to glean knowledge of Glamour's creator from him have been met with aggression. He is exceedingly protective of his creator's identity—as well as of their location, their research, and, by proxy, any information pertaining to his own inner workings. The clan has received nothing but further questions from Glamour over the years, and they aren't likely to get much else out of him.

But he's a likable fellow, more concerned with the theater than the battlefield, so he is a comfortable curiosity whose mysteries his clanmates are content to chase at their own leisure.
