- - - A bright teal and pink Guardian hatched from an orphaned egg in the Starwood Strand, unaware of her birth parents or birth clan. A kind, elderly Guardian took her in and gave her new daughter a name: Draca. As Draca reached adolescence, she noticed her adoptive mother getting pale and sickly. She told Draca of her charge: to save the orphaned, and admitted that Draca would be her last. The young Draca was heartbroken by this news and left the entirety of the Starfall Isles, marking the beginning of her Search.

- - - In her travels, she made friends with fellow Guardians in the middle of their Searches. These Guardians were Wind-borne dragons and in their natural kindness, they adorned Draca with gifts and flavorful food. One of the dragons in this group eventually found their charge, leaving the rest of the group behind. What surprised Draca most was that their charge remained in their home territory, giving her the motivation to return to the Starfall Isles, hoping her charge would be waiting for her there.

- - - During her long journey home, she met a Mirror dragon, whose name was Draco. She questioned his reason for solitude, as this was extremely unusual among Mirrors. He admitted to wanting to start a clan of his own, and be the one in power, rather than some measly pawn to be tossed aside. In his one short spiel, something struck Draca. Her charge. What had led her back here. Her charge was to found a clan and protect all those who join it.

- - - Draca and Draco then swiftly founded the Starbirch Faction, named after Draca herself. They became mates shortly after this and soon had their own eggs waiting to hatch. They agreed on a matrilineal naming scheme, all hatchlings of the Clan would take the first name of their mother as their surname, and so on and so forth. The name of their firstborn was Slateclaw Draca, and soon, the Faction would expand to its now enormous size.
