Nesoya

A simple rose swayed slightly in the breeze. The head of a small dragon rose from the middle, eyes still mostly closed, and the petals of the rose unraveled and revealed themselves as wings. Looking up, the small fae addressed that which woke her. "That so? What is it he wants, dear glowing globe?"
The glowing globe danced playfully in the wind.


The fae followed the globe into the air and among the clouds over the various regions towards The Windswept Plateau, there she found a quiet place to settle. As she cleared this area, she was astounded by how peaceful it was. Never before had she seen a place so calm and quiet, with nothing but the wind singing around her. She closed her eyes and smiled. When she opened them, she was shocked to see a large guardian had knelt down to her eye level. He smiled at her playfully and leapt into the air, spinning back surprisingly graceful for one of his magnitude and soaring down to clear a large area. The fae smiled at the gesture and, too, soared into the wind. Together the fae and guardian had cleared an area big enough for 10.

Thank you for your help, what's your name?The fae asked, smiling. Zephyr, my name is Zephyr. What about your name? He asked. Nesoya, have you a home, Zephyr? The guardian's head sank slightly as he responded. No, not anymore. He said. Nesoya felt for the large beast, and flew in a loop playfully. What a silly question for me to ask, when this place is named after you! She flew and landed on his nose, placing a claw lightly on the middle of his head. Of course you have a home Zephyr, it's right here!

Zephyr stared at her astonished before smiling once again. What should we call our home, Miss Nesoya? He asked looking around. She looked over the land and thought for a short while. How about Dovah Grove? She suggested, 'Dovah' meaning dragon in an ancient language. Zephyr smiled and nodded. A simple name, short and to the point, for a not-so-simple place.

The two enjoyed their time together, as more dragons began to move in and make their homes along the steppes. The time for new arrivals is an exciting time for sure.
