Backstory
Whistle was born in a small, well connected clan within the WindSingers domain. When her egg-- a beautiful light green coloured object painted with swirls of the warm summer breeze-- hatched, a collection of excited clan mates met her newborn eyes. They marvelled at her colours, speaking of how her scales mimicked the shades of the reeds around her nest. Whistle hadn't really understood their compliments, but had felt an immense wash of pride and self courage.
As she had grown, the Spiral had many suitors and lovers, none of which attracted her attention in the slightest. She was known for being kind, even when turning back a male attempting to attract her attention. She was well loved within the clan, yet had never really felt like she belonged. Something felt as though it was missing, something that would improve her life tenfold. She had an idea of what this was. Whistle had never been able to make another noise other than speaking to other dragons. She couldn't snarl,growl,roar or even hum. This made her a source of attention for the various scientists and alchemists within the clan as they tried to discover what prohibited her from completing these simple things like anyone else. Their constant questions annoyed Whistle, and eventually she left the clan altogether to seek out something new, a change of scenery, new clan Mates!
The Whistle
During a long days flight on search for a new clan to call home, Whistle began experimentsingbwith her voice, trying to manipulate it into anything like another sound. She had just about given up when she gave a deep sigh. A high pitched whine like noise resonated from between her fangs. She slammed to an almost complete halt, curved body moving rythmatically to keep her in the air. Had that come from her? She sighed again, folding her fangs inwards as she had done. The noise sang out, louder and stronger than before. Her eyes lit up with an excited flicker of amazement. A noise, she had made a noise! Again, she repeated it, changing the tone and length of each note, creating a tune of connected notes. Her newfound song pierced through the air, sending a thrill of happiness up her spine as she soared onwards to find a new clan.
