They were alone, no one but wild animals attended their funeral. Mother said it was dangerous to go out into the wood alone, too frightening and dark for a hatchling of her age. She ventured out when the air was still cold and the moon was high, dressed in nothing but her night clothes to follow a night bird. It led her to a place she had never been before, but it didn't concern her. The forest didn't scare her, and she easily found a small cave to call her home. She grew into a young woman. She had learned to gather for herself, to provide for herself. She only had ghosts of the life she had left behind, faint outlines of her mother's face. She soon forgot about civilized life and stayed out far from any clan or lair. She lured smaller animals to her rocky home and befriended them, giving them vegetables and bugs to eat. She even cultivated her own garden. She was happy...but she did not grow old. She heard it first with the howling that came closer to her each night. She fashioned a shield of vegetation to hide her home from the creatures that sought blood and flesh. It started when her small friends began to go missing one by one. She made the foolish decision to look for them. Mirrikh found the poor child's pure soul in bits and pieces, scattered like snow. It took time and patience, but he put her together and gave her a new beginning. She is the most precious and innocent child he has known. Bio by CaesarAugustus
