Oberon

Oberon is the head of Clan Omicronus. Being a Guardian, he is naturally very protective of his clan and is prone to suspicion of outsiders. Despite that, he is very loyal and caring, even affectionate (in his own way), to his clan members and those that have earned his trust and his friendship.

He rarely speaks, even in private, with the only notable exception being with Azuura. He tends to communicate through his actions and his gaze. Members of the clan have often found him just outside the lair entrance keeping watch for threats, or within its deepest confines, watching over the clan's hatchlings and young drakes.

Despite giving Shadow the title of Night Warden and forming the Vanguard, he is still very much in tune within the goings-on of the clan. He may be the oldest dragon in Clan Omicronus, but neither his wits nor his claws have dulled with time and age.

One of his most well-kept secrets has secretly come to light: his Charge, a secret he has told no one save Azuura. As the dragons of the Clan tried to get acclimate themselves to their new home in the Blacksand Annex, Nightglade caused an errant lava overflow, and the Mirror happened to be in the exact vicinity. Oberon managed to ensure his Charge was unscathed, though not without being completely immersed in the lava.

Azuura is tending to his wounds, and though she says he will recover, the lava has done its work. He will be scarred completely from beard to tail tip, and some sores, particularly in his shoulders and legs, will forever remain open.
