He stared down at the skinny, limb-y little thing. She was small, much smaller than he anticipated humans would be. If he had been less careful, he could crush her tiny form beneath his claws, and probably would not have noticed. He would never had expected one such as this, to be living The Wound.
But, the calling was unmistakable... The humming in this pale guardian's ears and the faint hazy white glow when he looked at her. The Search led him here. To this one.
She fidgeted, clearly uncertain, as she glanced over at the giant moth that had nearly attacked her, before she craned her head up, and up, and up to look at him in his blue, blue eyes. "Ahhh... thank you?"
He inclined his head lightly in response. "I am merely doing what I have been born for."
"Ahhhh, pardon?"
"Human, what do you know of Guardians?"
There was a hesitation as she seemed to think on it. "Guardians come from the Reefs... they search the world for the one thing that they... need... to... protect..." Brown eyes widened as she realized what he was implying. "M-me? No. nonononono, I... what?"
"There is no mistake, human." He rumbled a little. "You are what this guardian is destined to live for till the day of his exalting."
".... right..." She sighed. "I... this sort of thing is just... ok. I suppose introductions would help if .... I'm Renaci. What do I call you?"
"My clan gave me my first name, but your tongue unfortunately cannot pronounce it." He intoned, amused at her antics and tilting his head. "There is no direct translation. So, you may call me what you wish."
Renaci pondered, before glancing over at the fallen moth to the side.
"Then.. Shutdown." She grinned. "Because of the way you shutdown that moth."
Humans are very. very. odd. "......Very well. From this day forth, I am Shutdown."
And with that, his once blue eyes turned a searing red..."
