Kilifax

The Quiet Supporter


Whereas Avantgarde holds titles like "Matriarch", "Grand Mother", and "Regalia Verde", Kilifax has no more than his given name. He is her most loyal and most silent supporter, often becoming an unnoticed shadow of her shining supernova. But he holds no envy or annoyance at this, he grows more proud of Av everyday. Young dragons sometimes make the mistake of asking him about her and getting trapped in hours of lovesick rambling.

Kilifax's voice is a very low rumble, and for the longest time he was the strongest dragon in the clan. This made him very intimidating, and Avantgarde would often have to leave him behind on purely diplomatic outings. Regardless of this, he is actually quite the softie.

Kilifax mostly felt indifferent about sheltering Xyla. He trusted Avantgarde's judgement, although when Xyla wanted more than just shelter—a place to revive her clan—he had a few objections. He feared the other female might become more of a parasite, feeding off of their clan and eventually killing them before moving on to a new host. He still retains a grain of doubt about her, but so far she has shown no signs of ill intent. Kilifax is content to wait.
