Bastet
"Revenge is not meant to ease pain but balance the scales." |

Bastet was a part of her clan's nobility back in Shadow Flight--or so she claimed. It might have been considered as believable, had she not changed her stories each time she told them; where one time she stated that an attack by the Talanok left her the only survivor--forcing her to flee from the lands of her birth for a new home--she would say, in another, that she had left the Tangled Wood of her own accord, having grown bored of the Driftwood Drag. The Imperial's favorite story, however, was the one where she claimed that she had been wrongfully banished. She would begin the tale in a hushed voice, explaining that her father had died while she was but a hatchling, leaving her mother to rule alone, with her ("being the eldest of the offspring to remain in the lair") following afterwards as heir, once her mother passed on. As it so happened, Bastet would continue, her younger siblings were incredibly jealous of her, and so they set up a plot that would see her exiled from her homelands; poisoning their mother's food, they claimed that Bastet was looking to kill their mother and thus, come into power much faster than she would have, had nature been left to take its course. Seeing as how the beautiful Imperial was the closest one to their mother, it was of little doubt in the minds of the guards that what her siblings were saying was the truth, despite Bastet s claims to the contrary. Stripped of her titles, the female was banished, never to return home again. Alone, she made a long, grueling flight across Sornieth, looking for a clan that would have pity on her and take her in, having no luck until she met the dragons of Plague clan, whom were kind enough to welcome her in. (Here too, her tale would deviate: in one telling the Imperial would say that she had met a hunting group and asked for permission to join them, while during another she would claim that after an attack by a Beastclan--whichever one it was changed each time the story was told--that barely left her alive, she collasped in front of the lair's entrance, only to be rescued by its inhabitants.)
