Melliflora, or Mel, as she is more often known, is a beekeeper. She spends all her time surrounded by her bees' gentle buzzing, the sound of busy little creatures working happily away. She takes very good care of her bees, going so far as to take a bumble as her familiar. Aside from taking care of her bees, she does lots with their products- she makes candles and cosmetic items with their wax, and cakes, candies, drinks, all sorts of things with the honey. She makes flavored honeys as well, infusing jars of rich sweetness with herbs and fruits and flowers. Her bee products are quite popular in the clan.

Mel is painfully shy. She only comes into town to sell her products, preferring to spend her time with her bees or making things in her little home. She has a stutter that only goes away when she talks to her bees or her bumble, Buzz. She sings to them as well, and her voice is beautiful, but it's a secret to everyone- she couldn't imagine singing in front of a crowd. She has a desperate crush on the courier, Imogen. She's too shy to do anything about it, and instead leaves gifts on the coatl's doorstep. She has no idea that Imogen knows exactly who her secret admirer is, or that she likes her back.

Mel had to work up the courage to approach the clan leaders to ask for permission to set up her apiaries. It took her quite a while, as she sat on the border with her little caravan. She had just made up her mind to go on in when Oolong herself approached her. They had a short and sweet conversation, and Mel found the tundra comforting. Soon after, she was building her apiaries, moving into a little house, feeling at home. Even though she was nervous around so many dragons, she felt welcomed by the clan.
