His scales glistened and glittered in the sunlight as he stretched his limbs and his wings. His den was behind him—a cave. His belly rumbling slightly, he spread his wings and flew to the forest. He could feel the wind beneath his wings as he flew. He shifted his cranium to gaze downward, searching for food. The scent of deer wafted into his nostrils. Following the scent, he began to descend downwards and soon he landed. Beginning to follow the scent, he soon caught a sight of deer. It was chewing on grass. He curled his lips. He could almost taste the flesh of the deer. Prowling behind it, he flexed his talons, waiting for the perfect time to slaughter it. The deer halted, it was growing suspicious. He cannot allow that. He snarled, leaping on top of the deer. He dug his talons on its flank. The scent of blood filled his nose. The deer struggled, desperately trying to escape from the dragon's wrath. But he simply will not allow that. He sank his fangs onto the deer's neck, snapping its throat. The deep fell limp and withered to the forest floor. The dragon grinned, satisfied with his kill.
