A gentle giant of sorts and mentor to all, Vince is a glacier who has found his calling wandering the world and discovering the path of the ancients. Though seen as a saint to all foreigners in his world, he sees himself as a calm snowman in the north. Having grown up in an arid region known as the Emerald City, an oasis city in the midst of a partially terraformed desert, Vince disliked life under the sun’s blistering heat. Standing a head taller than most of his peers, he was a suitable candidate for a Guardian, protector of the Cities. He trained rigorously alongside a certain messenger’s mother and father, but soon found later down the road that this was not the path for him. Vince preferred to live a life without fighting, yet where he could still put his immense strength to good use.

Trading in the Guardian’s bronze shield for the Wanderer’s guiding star, Vince took a liking to the taste of adventure. One day in his travels far into the cold north as an inexperienced traveler, he fell through thin ice and slipped into the frozen depths below. Paralyzed by the cold, he reacted too late and was left to face a mysterious creature from the deep arctic. But before he met his fate, he was rescued by local villagers, who with great strain pulled him to safety. The kind strangers nursed Vince back to health and taught him the way of their people. Ever since he emerged from the ice, Vince found himself calmer and cooler. The Wanderer from then on set down his roots and sees this little village as family, serving as the bridge between his first and new home.

Mira the Messenger

Many years have passed and now a silver star adorns Vince for his deeds to both his new village and the City of Life. However, time has not passed without its own troubles. Not everything is well. The rebels are mobilizing and decrying the cities and everything they stand for, and have found their opportunity to capture a new city on the rise, the seed of Hope. Fortunately for the Cities, the rebels fail.

However, with the city crippled, Mira the Messenger is tasked with delivering special blueprints. With fresh wounds, the City of Spero is wary and sends escorts to guide its messengers. Vince is called from the arctic north to be Mira’s escort, a man knowledgeable of the lands, on special request by her parents, his old friends from the Emerald City.

Now he is here to gather more information as his home’s eyes and ears; but most importantly, Vince is here for Mira.
