I had always been lonely, secluded from any feelings except denial; which I got from everyone I encountered. Being a dragon is harder than people may think… Animals are afraid of you (I guess I could understand why) and humans just down right hate you (that one I’m not to sure about, I can’t say I’ve ever burned down a village in my 124 years of living. It’s actually frowned upon among the dragon community). It gets lonely when the whole world seems to be against you every way you turn; even when you try to do something good, somehow you always end up screwing that up to even if you don’t mean to.
I often would sit alone on the cliff of a mountain in the valley that I had found myself taking refuge in. I would just sit for hours sometimes days just hoping I would see someone... ...something that would just give me a mere friendly second of their time. Usually all that I would see is the friendly flickering of leaves on nearby trees, which only made me happy for a moment then just sad…
