Nooi's favorite types of sweets to make are similar to wagashi. He grinds up edamame with a squirrel skull to make a savoury bean paste, then uses it to wrap boiled sugared grove fern, sticky rice or various chilled fruits cut into cubes. Although it is his favourite sweet to make he is deathly allergic to beans, so doesn't partake when he serves a platter of it at important gatherings. He takes a serious amount of pride in his work, teaching hatchlings delicious ways to serve their favorite plants along with selling his candies at markets at a stall next to Cithyth's shop. Some of the most beautiful and delicate sweets in Sornieth were perfected by Nooi, often using real flowers with specially flavoured jellies - typically drawing inspiration from the bamboo and kites of the Windswept Plateau. His familiar is a Noxious Coralclimber, which he often draws colour inspiration from when dyeing sweets with coloured slime.

He was raised by Zoisite when he was a lone sage, learning how to climb the mountain they resided in after a few years of stumbling around in fear of the height. His peridot roundhorns were a magic gift from his father for learning to overcome his fear, and are a reminder to overcome many more. He deals with a various amount of fears, most are irrational like floating away or sinking into the ground. He battles his fears everyday, and he gets a strong sense of pride from his father for doing it. Due to his mother being a dragon manifestation of a cyclone he has partial control of the wind around him, but doesn't show it off often due to not being well versed in it. When he left his father's coven to join a clan, his fraternal twin sister Gewebetiel stayed to learn his father's ways. Due to the many years of separation, they are not close now.
